Ms. Rucker has more than 35 years experience in early care and education, having held multiple roles as early childhood consultant/technical assistant, teacher, director, education coordinator, trainer, mentor, and multi-site manager in a variety of educational settings including urban, suburban, for-profit, non-profit, government-sponsored, and a university lab school; in centers small and large, including start-ups and fix-ups.
Along the way, Ms. Rucker has led three child care centers to NAEYC accreditation; a national hallmark of quality in early childhood education. She has presented at countless local & national professional development conferences and has been a consultant on multiple projects throughout the eastern corridor. Karen also has considerable experience teaching CDA classes and early childhood credit-bearing coursework at several colleges and universities.
This wealth of experience brings a unique perspective to her work with early childhood staff and administration.
